EMC connectors: Shielding for interference-free data transmission!

Connectors with shielding are specially included in our Zero8, Colibri and hm 2.0 connector series. The connector EMC protection is important if the installation density of the components on the PCB is high or if robust influencing factors can interfere with data transmission. The connector EMC shielding used in our Zero8 module is particularly suitable for components with high electromagnetic compatibility requirements.

The shielding material we use guarantees a maximum coupling inductance of 10 picohenry.

Connectors with EMC shielding for the highest PCB connection quality

A high installation density of PCB components entails the risk of mutual electromagnetic interference. To prevent this, we recommend the use of EMC connectors with shielding. Better electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) can be achieved through connector shielding. Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is crucial for the interference-free functioning of electrical components and applications.

Our connectors with EMC shielding from the "Zero8 board-to-board connector" series are characterized by shielding on both sides. The shielding plates on both sides ensure optimum EMC values. Interference-free data transmission is therefore guaranteed in practically every environment and in every area of application. The connector shielding material used is particularly suitable for components with high electromagnetic compatibility requirements. A maximum coupling inductance of 10 picohenry is guaranteed. This special connector shielding makes the PCB connectors of the Zero8 family the ideal choice for artificial intelligence applications

The large-area shielding concept of our EMC connectors reliably dissipates interference currents through multiple contacts on both PCBs in the direction of the earth connection. The effects of the electric and magnetic field strength on the PCB connectors can be clearly simulated using the coupling inductance. In the opposite case, where the connector could act as a source of interference, neighboring components and parts are effectively protected.
