Flexible board-to-board spacing
The high mis-insertion protection of the One27 connectors allows the male and female headers to be inserted variably within a range of 1.5 mm. By combining the different profile heights, both small and larger PCB spacing can be achieved.

Permissible Misalignment Tolerances
One27 SMT connectors tolerate a misalignment of 0.7 mm in both the longitudinal and transverse axes during mating.

Permissible Angular Tilt Tolerances
When mating One27 PCB connectors, the female connector can be inserted into the male connector at an angle of up to 4° along the longitudinal axis and 2° along the transverse axis.

One27 SMT PCB connectors with a 1.27 mm pitch

Our One27 SMT PCB connectors with a 1.27 mm pitch now do exactly that—and much more: They are ideally suited for a wide range of mezzanine, board-to-board, and board-to-cable applications in SMT, are extremely robust and easy to process, and are also verifiably compatible with SMT connectors with a 1.27 mm pitch already on the market. With a choice of three different designs—each featuring either a male or female connector—and high anti-misalignment protection, virtually any PCB spacing from 8 to 20.00 mm and any PCB configuration can be accommodated. In addition, we offer the One27 IDC female connector not only as a standalone product but also with custom-designed cable assemblies. There really is something for every need! Optimal processability of the SMT PCB connectors is ensured by a coplanarity tolerance of just 0.1 mm and an impressive tolerance range of ±0.7 mm or ±4° longitudinally and ±2° transversely. FAQ: Questions and Answers About One27 SMT PCB Connectors
How can One27 SMT PCB connector be processed?
The One27 connector system is processed using Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and is therefore soldered directly onto printed circuit boards. The connector are typically shipped in tape and reel packaging, which enables fully automated pick-and-place processing. locating peg on the underside of the One27 connectors ensure precise positioning on the printed circuit board. ept also guarantees a maximum coplanarity of 0.1 mm for the contacts to ensure reliable soldering during processing.
In what ways can printed circuit boards be connected to each other using One27 SMT-Steckverbindern?
The various types within the One27-connector family allow for the connection of printed circuit boards in parallel, horizontal, or right-angle configurations, as well as the connection of ribbon cables to the printed circuit board.
What PCB spacing options are available with the One27 connectors?
With the One27 PCB connectors, a minimum PCB spacing of 8.00 mm and a maximum PCB spacing of 20.00 mm can be achieved. This is made possible, on the one hand, by the large overlap area of 1.5 mm. Blade and spring-loaded connectors (Female) can thus be pulled apart by up to 1.5 mm while still ensuring optimal and reliable contact. Additionally, the One27 low-, mid-, and high-profile variants can be combined in nine different configurations to create various board-to-board distances.

Why is the contact between the blade and spring-loaded connector (Female) particularly reliable in One27 connectors?
In One27 connectors, contact is established via a double-pronged female contact (female contact) that encloses the contact pin (contact pin) of the blade strip (Male). This ensures reliable contact on at least one side of the contact pin, even if the connectors are misaligned. Furthermore, contact is made via the smooth, rolled surface of the female contact. This prevents wear on the contact surface and the formation of chips when inserting One27 connectors.

Are One27 SMT-Leiterplatten-connector from ept compatible with other connectors on the market?
The One27 connector system is fully compatible with connectors from other manufacturers. The compatibility of One27-connector is confirmed in test reports, which you can request at sales@eptusa.com.
For which applications are One27 PCB connector used?
One27 SMT connectors are suitable for all applications where PCBs need to be connected robustly while taking up minimal space. Thanks to the various available orientations, heights, and termination technologies of the One27 connector, you remain completely flexible in the arrangement of the PCBs to be connected as well as in the type of connection. Whether stacked in parallel at different distances, arranged horizontally side by side, at right angles, or via ribbon cable—how you connect the PCBs is entirely up to you.
What types of currents can be transmitted using One27 connectors?
A 50-pin One27 connector transmits up to 1.4 A at an ambient temperature of 20° C. For detailed specifications, please request our test reports at sales@eptusa.com.
What misalignment do One27 PCB connector tolerate during mating?
The One27 connector feature a high misalignment tolerance. For example, when mating blade and Female connectors, a radial misalignment of 0.7 mm is permitted in both the longitudinal and transverse axes. The angular misalignment tolerance is 4° longitudinally and 2° transversely.
Is the One27 IDC Female also available without a ribbon cable?
Yes, ept offers the IDC Female from the One27 product family without cables. This allows you to assemble the cables yourself and choose the cable length to suit your needs. Please refer to the assembly instructions.
However, ept also offers custom cable assembly of the One27 IDC Female, tailored to your specific requirements.
Does ept also offer the One27 IDC-Female pre-assembled with cable assembly?
Yes, ept offers the One27 IDC Female in insulation displacement connection (IDC) with cable assembly. You can freely choose the orientation of the connector, their number of positions, and the cable length. You also have the choice between three different cable types.
Are the One27 SMT connector also available in tape-and-reel packaging?
Yes, One27 SMT connector are typically shipped in tape and reel packaging, which enables fully automated processing via pick-and-place. You are also welcome to inquire about other packaging options with us. The One27 IDC Female is generally shipped in tray packaging.
Are One27 PCB connector UL-recognized components?
Yes, One27 connector from ept are UL-recognized components in the U.S. and Canada.
Are the ept PCB connector RoHS-compliant?
RoHS (Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances) is the directive restricting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
We confirm that One27 connector from ept are compliant with RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU, as per the RoHS certificate. For more information, see RoHS & REACH.

The short lead times for the One27-PCB connector were the deciding factor for us in sourcing the required connectors with a 1.27 mm pitch from ept.
For the One27 connectors, we can retain the existing PCB layout. This allows us to switch to ept’s SMT-connector very easily and without any design changes.
Thanks to the offset of the connectors on ept’s angled One27 headers, we don’t need a second camera to ensure the quality of the solder joints.
Thanks to ept, we can now also purchase the IDC Female in a 1.27 mm pitch as a loose component—that is, without cable assembly.
The soldering test for ept’s One27 SMT connectors convinced me of their excellent workability. I had never looked at connector this way during the selection process before!
I had never before seen direct evidence of how well connectors can be soldered onto a printed circuit board. The soldering test for the One27 PCB connector opened my eyes: here, you can actually see how secure the solder connection between the contacts and the printed circuit board is.
It was very helpful for us to be able to purchase IDC female headers with a 1.27 mm pitch and such a wide range of contact counts individually.
We would love to visit your beautiful location, but from a quality perspective, we see no reason to do so
